Indie Retro News: Turrican - An all time classic game gets another tease for the MSX1 by TheGeps!

If you’ve been following all of our articles about the work in progress Turrican for the MSX by TheGeps, Bitcaffe, and TonimanGalvez, you’ll be happy to know that the team has shared some new work in progress footage. If you’re not familiar with this classic game, Turrican was originally released in 1990 by Rainbow Arts and programmed by Manfred Trenz with a fantastic soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck. Known for its shooting action, powerful weapons, and engaging gameplay, Turrican remains popular to this day.

Here’s what the creator has to say about this impressive looking Turrican for the MSX1, featuring a high-quality soundtrack by Bitcaffe (Gabriel Caffarena). “Added rotating laser collisions, enemy movements, updates and save enemy positions, bug fixes. Improved bullet collisions.” This is the latest update on the game, and we’ll continue to provide more information as it becomes available!
