Indie Retro News: Knightmare ZX Spectrum – A Nostalgic Tribute to the 1980’s TV Show!

Indie Retro News: Knightmare - If you remember the 1980's hit TV show, you may just like this upcoming ZX Spectrum version!

When I was a kid, I loved watching the 1980s TV show Knightmare. The show featured children guiding a friend wearing a “Helmet of Justice” through a creepy medieval environment, solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles. The show inspired computer games for platforms like Amstrad and ZX Spectrum. Now, Sausageware Games, with publishing by BitmapSoft, is creating a new and improved version of the Knightmare game for the ZX Spectrum.

If you missed our previous announcement about the game on IndieRetroNews in February, the creator shared details about the game on Twitter. He mentioned, “Hi retro friends! Here at Sausageware Games, I’m working on a new Knightmare game for the Speccy with publishing by BitmapSoft! I’m still salty about the original 8-bit version of the classic TV show, so I’ve decided to do it myself. I’ll be posting updates as I progress, so follow me if you’re interested!” If you were a fan of the TV show in the 80s, keep an eye out for updates on the new Knightmare game by Sausageware Games!
