Iron Meat, a new run-and-gun game from Retroware, will be released on September 26, 2024 on various platforms including Steam, Epic, Itch.io, GOG, VK, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. The game combines classic pixel art with traditional shooter mechanics, featuring two-player couch co-op and challenging boss fights.
In a press release, Retroware describes Iron Meat as an intense arcade shooter set in a chaotic, apocalyptic future where THE MEAT, an interdimensional biomass, mutates everything in its path. The gameplay is fast-paced and brutal, combining arcade mechanics with intense bullet-dodging action.
For physical collectors, Strictly Limited Games offers Switch and PS5 copies for sale, although the Switch version is currently sold out. Those interested can download a demo from the Steam store to try before purchasing.
