Indie Retro News: Elevator Action

A new conversion update by JOTD and team has been released as a final ECS build for Elevator Action on the Amiga. Originally released in 1983 in the arcades, Elevator Action puts you in the shoes of a spy infiltrating a building with multiple doors and elevators. Your mission is to locate important documents hidden behind red doors on specific floors and make your way to the awaiting car in the basement.

If you’ve never played Elevator Action before, whether in the arcades or on various systems like the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, or NES, here’s a brief overview from Wikipedia: “The game was a critical and commercial success for Taito, exceeding sales expectations upon release. It topped the Japanese arcade charts for three months in late 1983 and was among the top five highest-grossing arcade games in the US in 1984. Elevator Action has been ported to numerous home systems, spawned sequels, and featured in Taito compilations.”
