The Tower of Evil gets an unofficial and minimalistic remake for Commodore Amiga. Originally released in 1984-1985 by Creative Sparks, this top-down action game saw an unofficial port for Commodore 16, Plus/4, ZX Spectrum, and VIC 20 by artlace/rebels. Play as Andros, banished by King Salimos, who must rescue Princess Diana and find the King’s treasure from an evil Necromancer!
According to ELECTRIC BLACK SHEEP’s comment on Saberman’s video, they aimed to create an unofficial sequel of ‘Tower Of Evil’ (plus/4) for the Amiga for the 2024 Amiga Game Jam, themed ‘The Sequel That Never Was’. While the rules changed to require the sequel to be based on an existing Amiga game, the team decided to first port the original game and then work on the sequel. Despite some constraints, including using original sprites, the game remains a tribute to their childhood favorite.
