Yesterday, we shared that Soko Banana, the Evercade Game of the Month for September, is now accessible to Evercade EXP and Evercade VS users who update to the latest system software. However, the new Evercade system software has more to offer.
Three significant features have been added to the system. The first is analogue controller support, allowing PlayStation and N64 titles to be played as intended. Blaze Entertainment ensures that all games on Evercade will remain playable with digital controls, even though third-party analogue controllers are now supported. Blaze does not have plans to release an official Evercade analogue controller.
Another new control option in the update is turbo fire (currently in beta), activated by holding down the desired button for use. Some may consider using turbo fire as cheating, but to each their own!
The latest system update also includes an eject function to safely remove cartridges from the Evercade console. While not groundbreaking, it is evident that Blaze Entertainment values user feedback to enhance the Evercade user experience.
