Ranking 8-Bit Mascots on Retronauts Episode 636 Hootenanny

Think Mario’s running away with this one? Think again.

Hootenannies. You know I love ’em, having joined a vast majority of the ranking podcasts we’ve put together here at Retronauts. However, this particular one has shot to the top of my personal lists because we recorded it live in front of an audience at Retro World Expo in Hartford, CT. To better incorporate the crowd, host Jeremy Parish actually used a decibel meter to record the voice of the people, making the masses our fourth voter in deciding which 8-bit mascots rule and which ones drool.

So press play to hear Jeremy, Nadia Oxford, myself (Diamond Feit), and the fine people of the Nutmeg State chat for nearly 2 hours about old video game characters! I promise surprises and laughter awaits you, because I was there.

Description: Jeremy Parish, Diamond Feit, Nadia Oxford, and an entire room full of people take stock of the mascot characters of the 8-bit era and (loudly) rank the value of their existence. Who comes out on top?!
