SPL HD-64
The HD-64, designed and manufactured by SPL, is a modern modulator replacement for the Commodore 64, that creates crystal clear HDMI output, by digitally creating the video signal directly from an existing VIC-II chip or Kawari.
Features:
- Replaces the stock modulator.
- Micro HDMI out provided through bv RF opening in case
- Full-HD (50 for PAL, 60 for NTSC) HDMI output with stereo audio
- < 1ms latency
- Configurable color-palette scanlines, “blur” (or “anti-aliasing”), aspect ratio, mono-stereo audio
- Analog to digital audio conversion up to two SID channels
- Automatic PAL/NTSC detection
- Compatible with all original motherboards (including shortboard)
- Shortboard version draws power from original modulator pins, longboard needs additional wire.
- Analog video still available on AV connector, both composite and S-Video
- S-Video voltage corrected to work on any standard CRT (that supports S-Video)
- Firmware updates via USB-C
- Future capabilities already beeing worked on: configurable scaling (integer scaling, overscan)
