PixelHeart, a retro publisher, is developing a new Game Boy Color (GBC) title called Tanuki Justice. Limited to 500 copies, the game is part of the Tanuki Justice series and is now available for pre-order. Originally released on PS4, Switch, and Steam, Tanuki Justice is reimagined for Nintendo’s classic handheld gaming device.
In Tanuki Justice, players take on the role of a ninja Tanuki seeking revenge, battling through various enemies in retro-themed environments. With simple yet dynamic controls, players can perform impressive moves in this tribute to classic arcade games.
The release of Tanuki Justice GBC in November 2025 will include a cartridge, box, color manual, certificate, and stickers. While it appears to be a demake of the original game, details are currently limited. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
