Indie Retro News: Olli and Lissa - The Ghost of Shilmoore Castle

We are excited to share with you a PC remake of a classic 8-bit game called Olli and Lissa – The Ghost of Shilmoore Castle by Space Time Games. In this game, players must help Olli find the ingredients for a magic potion to save Shilmoore Castle. Originally published in 1986 for the ZX Spectrum by Firebird, the game has been remade and reviewed by Rowlands Reviews.

“Olli and Lissa was a challenging Spectrum game released by Firebird in 1986. We have updated the game to be more forgiving and enjoyable, with improved graphics while still respecting the original art. Players must navigate 8 screens, avoiding ghosts and other creatures, to gather items for Lissa’s magic potion that will make the ghost of Sir Humphrey invisible!”

  • Original game by Ionis Software International. Roger Danison & Jerry Astley.
  • Remake programmed by Steve Watson, with graphics by Paul Weller.
  • Game also available for download from Sunteam
