The new Wider World of Atari DLC is now available for Digital Eclipse’s Atari 50 compilation. This DLC features new interviews, vintage ads, historical artifacts, and more, all presented in Digital Eclipse’s signature style. Highlights include unique innovations and hidden gems from the late 1980s, a spotlight on artist Evelyn Seto who helped create the iconic “Fuji” Atari logo, Pong creator Al Alcorn discussing the birth of Breakout, and an exploration of the fan base’s contributions to discovering unreleased prototypes, creating “homebrew” games, and preserving Atari history.
The DLC can be purchased for £6.69 on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 & 5. Owners of the original game on the Atari VCS can receive the DLC content for free as part of an update.
The Wider World of Atari DLC adds 19 new games to the collection, including Berzerk, Frenzy, Red Baron, Sky Diver, and more. YouTuber Metal Jesus has teamed up with Atari to reveal the DLC in a video.
