NERD Arcade to Shut Down at the End of October – Embracing Retro Heritage

Sad news to report today as NERD Arcade has announced it will close its doors for the last time at the end of October. The North East UK arcade was opened in May 2020 by passionate retro fans from the North East Retro Den Facebook group. Operating on weekends with free-to-play machines, it offers a variety of arcade games from different eras.

The arcade owners will still be involved in local events like NERD Fright Fest on October 20, 2024, at Parks Sports Centre. Those holding vouchers for the arcade must use them before closure. We wish the team the best for their future endeavors.
