Exciting news for fans of King’s Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow! After 18 years of development, Brandon Kouri has released the King’s Quest VI AGI Demake, a high quality fan-made recreation of the classic adventure game. You can download it below.

The demake re-creates the original game using Sierra’s AGI game engine from the 1980s, featuring 16 color graphics and a typing interface. According to the website, “This game is a ‘demake’ of Sierra On-Line’s original ‘King’s Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow.’ The original game was released in 1992, and featured 256 color VGA graphics and a point and click interface.”

The game was created by Brandon Kouri over the span of 18 years, from 2006-2024. It is a tribute to King’s Quest VI and the AGI game engine, offering a nostalgic experience for fans of text parser adventure games. The game was assembled using AGI Studio and features graphics and sounds borrowed from classic Sierra-On-Line games from the 80s and 90s.
