Indie Retro News: TankX Revamped – A Modernized Edition of a Classic Commodore Amiga Game by Hippopotamus Design (1994-1996)

Indie Retro News: TankX - An enhanced version of a 1994-1996 Commodore Amiga game originally by Hippopotamus Design

According to Saberman, TankX is now available for download on the Commodore Amiga. TankX is a top-down multiplayer tank game inspired by the 1994-1996 game Tankk by Hippopotamus Design. The game features tank combat where players aim to be the last tank standing by shooting other tanks. Bullets bounce off walls and there’s a limit to the number of bullets that can be shot at a time. The game is played in rounds, with up to 10 human players or CPU-driven tanks. Players can also set up team vs. team games. TankX works on Amiga 500 with a 0.5M memory expansion or any classic Amiga above this. It is noted that CPU-driven tanks may slow down gameplay on the A500, so a faster Amiga is recommended for more CPU tanks. For more information and to download TankX, visit the source.
