Indie Retro News: Take on Léon Marchand’s Olympic Challenge

Indie Retro News: Léon Marchand's Olympic Challenge

The Amstrad CPC sports homebrew game Léon Marchand’s Olympic Challenge is an impressive sports game that may or may not break your Joystick. In this game, players must wiggle their Joystick left and right as fast as possible to help the swimmer Léon Marchand win a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. This game is a sports simulation that tests the player’s joystick skills, similar to Daley Thompson’s Olympic Challenge by Ocean Software in 1988. The game features frenetic joystick movements to control Leon’s speed during the swimming events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The game credits include Roudoudou (Edouard Berge) for programming, Pulsophonic for music, and TITAN (Eric Cubizolle) for graphics. Check out the gameplay video from Saberman and Xenomorph for more details.
