The latest news story for Amstrad GX4000 owners is here thanks to Saberman. If you’re in the mood for a new Shoot ’em up game, then Zisquier has the perfect one for you with his new game called ‘Goldorak’ for Amstrad Plus and GX4000. The game pays homage to the classic anime Grendizer, a TV series that aired from October 5, 1975, to February 27, 1977, produced by Dynamic Productions and animated by Toei Animation. To complement this news, Saberman has also released a new video showcasing the game in action.
Here’s the latest scoop from the cpcwiki forums: “The development of ‘Goldorak’ has been a journey filled with ups and downs, but our dedicated team never gave up. We are thrilled to announce that ‘Goldorak’ is finally coming to GX4000 and Amstrad Plus!”
“Packed with vibrant pixels, electronic tunes, and data, we had to make tough choices to fit everything into a 64 KB compatible shoot ’em up cartridge. We hope you enjoy this game, made with love for the beloved cartoon from our childhood and the underrated Amstrad console.”
“Our goal with this adaptation was to create the ultimate shoot ’em up game for the Amstrad console without losing the essence of our favorite anime. We hope we’ve achieved this, but it’s ultimately up to the players to decide. We now entrust ‘Goldorak’ to the Amstrad community and hope they will embrace it with open arms. The CPR is available on the official project webpage: https://amstradmuseum.emu-france.info/Fichiers/Projets/Goldorak_CPC/Goldorak_CPC.html“
“Enjoy the game and good luck battling Vega’s forces!”
