Indie Retro News: Elevator Action

An exciting game announcement has been made for the Amiga and Arcade community. ‘Elevator Action’, a 1980s classic by Taito Corp, is being converted to the Commodore Amiga by JOTD. Known for their successful Arcade to Amiga conversions like Donkey Kong, Galaga, Phoenix, and Moon Patrol 500, JOTD is bringing this beloved title to the Amiga platform. Early development footage and an alpha download are available below.

The developer provided insights into the game’s progress, mentioning, “Small video of my new WIP game: Elevator Action. Currently targeting AGA to utilize wide sprites for the elevators and dual playfield for efficient sprite/playfield separation. An OCS version is also in the works. The game will run at 50 FPS on AGA. ECS version will require additional optimizations but will also be functional. The game is playable in its current Alpha stage.
