This morning, I found myself wondering what it would be like to scroll back to Stern Pinball’s very first Facebook post. Yes, these are the kinds of thoughts that occupy my mind, haha!
So, I decided to take a trip down memory lane… all the way back to September 22, 2009. The very first post from Stern Pinball on Facebook was simply a link to its list of distributors. Not too thrilling. However, the second post is where things get interesting!
Just two days later, Stern shared a link to a YouTube video from June 17, 2006. Interestingly, the video wasn’t on Stern’s official YouTube channel; it was uploaded by a user named “mpr933.” It showcased The Simpsons Pinball Party (TSPP) being assembled at the factory, albeit in glorious 240p quality, haha!
Stern Pinball originally produced TSPP back in 2003, and I love seeing footage of its production. This is the earliest video I’ve found of the Stern factory and likely the earliest one available on YouTube. I’ve embedded the video below, along with a collection of images captured from it. They may be a bit blurry, but they’re certainly fascinating, at least to me! It’s fun to compare this with the brand new Mega Factory where Stern is assembling games today.
