Indie Retro News: Elevator Action

The Arcade to Amiga conversion of Elevator Action by Taito Corp has been updated with a new beta build by JOTD. This game announcement is definitely worth mentioning, especially for fans of 1980’s Arcade classics. JOTD, known for other impressive Arcade to Amiga conversions like Donkey Kong and Galaga, has also worked on this project. The game is targeted for AGA compatibility, allowing for smooth gameplay at 50 FPS. An OCS version is also in the works for those with ECS systems. The latest build of Elevator Action may have some unfinished graphics and audio, but n09 has done fantastic work on the music. The game features 60Hz/50 FPS for AGA Amigas and is compatible with both PAL and NTSC screens. Credits for the game go to jotd for reverse-engineering and graphics conversion, no9 for the music, and others for their contributions. Instructions for playing the game include inserting a coin, using arrows or a joystick to move, and using red/ctrl to fire and blue/alt to jump.
