Indie Retro News: Montezuma's Revenge Director's Cut

Zbigniew ‘Saberman’ Zielinski has informed us that Normal Distribution LLC has released a PC demo remake of the classic game Montezuma’s Revenge. Originally released in the early 80s for multiple platforms, including Atari, Apple II, and Commodore 64, this game combines treasure hunting, challenging enemies, and deadly traps. The remake brings new life to the game and is highly recommended for fans of classic gaming.

The updated version of Montezuma’s Revenge has been in the making for forty years to complete the vision of the original 1983 game. The publisher had initially reduced the game for a cartridge release, cutting out certain elements like the boss and the bat. The player guides Pedro, also known as ‘Panama Joe,’ through the pyramid, avoiding enemies and collecting treasures. The demo features redesigned rooms with new interactive features and geometry.

This demo offers a glimpse into the new and improved Montezuma’s Revenge experience. Enjoy exploring the updated levels and share the excitement with other gamers!
