Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland is a brand new puzzle platformer with a retro-inspired aesthetic created by The MIX Games and Wallride. The game combines 8-bit pixel art with modern hand-drawn visuals that pay homage to the beloved 90s cartoon. Scheduled for release on September 10, 2024, Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland will be available on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch. A physical edition, including a special NES port, is being produced by Limited Run Games for PlayStation and Switch, although it is already sold out.
The game features six challenging stages where players can switch between characters such as Tommy, Chuckie, and the twins Phil and Lil, each with unique abilities and playstyles. Players will need to collect items, solve puzzles, evade enemies, and participate in high-speed chases. The game also includes boss battles set in iconic locations from the Rugrats cartoon, including the Ice Cream Factory, Haunted House, and Jungle.
