Last week, we shared the news that Capcom had revealed Capcom Fighting Collection 2, a compilation of their popular brawlers. One highlight was the inclusion of Power Stone and Power Stone 2, marking their first appearance on non-handheld home consoles in almost twenty-five years since their debut on Dreamcast.
Another notable aspect of the announcement was the absence of an Xbox release, a disappointment that was also seen with the earlier Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. However, Xbox fans can now celebrate as Capcom has confirmed that both collections will be coming to Xbox One after all.
The delay in confirming Xbox versions was attributed to “technical discussions” with Microsoft. Like the previously announced versions, the Xbox One versions of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 are expected to be released sometime next year.
