Here’s some exciting Amiga news: JOTD, known for remarkable conversions like Moon Patrol, Donkey Kong, Super Bagman, Galaxian500, Pooyan, Super Xevious, and the upcoming Bad Dudes vs DragonNinja, is now focusing on the classic 1982 game Burger Time. Originally released for platforms such as Intellivision, Apple II, Atari 2600, TI-99/4A, Commodore 64, and ColecoVision, this new Amiga version is eagerly anticipated. Check out the latest footage of Burger Time below.
According to Wikipedia, “The goal of the game is to assemble hamburgers while avoiding enemy foods. Players control chef Peter Pepper, who navigates oversized ingredients in a maze of platforms and ladders, causing them to drop and stack on buns below, ultimately creating complete burgers. The chef is chased by anthropomorphic hot dogs, fried eggs, and pickles. A limited supply of pepper can be thrown at enemies directly in front of Peter, temporarily stunning them.”
Development Notes:
- Transcoding of the Burger Time arcade version for 68000/020 Amiga machines.
- JOTD: 6502 to 68000 conversion, Amiga graphics conversion, Amiga sound effects.
- PascalDe73: icon design.
- High scores and best times are saved (unless cheats are enabled).
- ADF is now available; some machines may experience minor flashing. The WHDLoad version runs flawlessly.
