Saberman has discovered that Vega and the team have finally released the highly anticipated BBC Micro to Atari XL/XE conversion of the popular game ‘Bubble Bobble’. This game has been both frustrating and exhilarating for players since its original release in 1986. We have the latest footage and full details below. Atari XL/XE owners, you won’t want to miss this!
Here are the game details: “The game is based on the BBC MICRO version but has been rewritten from scratch to fully utilize the graphical and musical capabilities of the ATARI XE/XL. It features 100 levels with a final boss at the end. There are 2 different endings depending on whether you play with 1 player or 2. The game only requires 64KB and a disk drive or emulated cartridge. To run the cartridge version, you will need at least the ALTIRRA emulator v1.30. The game is compatible with NTSC and PAL, but runs slightly faster on PAL.”
